If you are struggling with addiction, there are many ways that you can seek help, starting with an individualized care program that incorporates evidence-based practices, including holistic and experiential therapies, with access to aftercare programs.
At East Coast Recovery, we offer medication-assisted treatment to help those struggling with opioid addiction. With rising rates of Fentanyl across opioid related overdoses and opioid use in Massachusetts, our medication-assisted treatment can help you manage symptoms with programs between 30 and 90 days, meeting between 10 and 12 hours per week, in the morning and the evening, so that you can still go to work, go to school, or take care of your family.
Medication-assisted treatment plans give you access to FDA-approved medication to help you deal with the symptoms of opioid or alcohol related detox, and to manage cravings and long-term success. These programs require continued attendance in a qualified therapy program like our day programs.
We offer day treatment and partial day treatment.Â
With each of these, the goal is to have you work with mental health professionals through individual and group therapies, educational sessions, and holistic practices. All of these overlap to help you better understand the root of addiction, create healthy coping mechanisms for stress or cravings, and learn better ways to manage emotions and process things like trauma.
A key goal of our day and partial day programs centers on creating a solid support system and replacing bad habits with positive coping mechanisms. This comes from things like experiential therapies, holistic modalities, and aftercare planning.Â
With East Coast Recovery, we provide experiential therapy, offering clients recreational activities and ways to express themselves outside of a traditional office setting.Â
Since 2020, there has been a rise in substance abuse rates and overdose rates. This has resulted in a higher demand for Acton drug rehab. To help with that, our team offers combinations of evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy and experiential therapy.Â
We offer a combination of different holistic modalities, all evidence-based practices that are complementary to things like cognitive behavioral therapy. These include:
Together with traditional psychotherapy, holistic modalities can give you better control over simple things like breathing. Often, when clients deal with stress or anxiety, they start to use clavicular breathing, the kind that comes from the clavicle, shortens the actual breath length, and constricts the amount of oxygen that circulates in the blood.Â
With our breathwork training, clients can learn to be aware of when they use this breathing and then actively replace it in real time with healthier, more mindful breathing techniques like Square breathing, elongating the breath, and bringing more oxygen into the body.
The same benefits can be derived from things like music or art therapy, teaching clients how to use both expressive modalities to better communicate or identify how they are feeling, and to change their mood.
These all work together to improve mood and sleep, decrease levels of depression or anxiety, better manage emotions and stress, and help individuals with their substance abuse recovery.Â
We know that over half of the people who complete a substance abuse treatment program will relapse if they don’t have the right level of support. At East Coast Recovery, we provide aftercare programs that encourage things like regular support group attendance so the clients can receive emotional support, be held accountable, and gain insight from one another.
We also collaborate with each client to identify triggers or roadblocks to success and, at the same time, to develop healthy coping mechanisms so clients can better manage distress, triggers, and cravings. There are many benefits to participation in an aftercare program at East Coast Recovery:
Our relapse prevention plans can help clients change their sleeping or eating habits for something healthier, stay active in their social engagements instead of withdrawing, and focus on the future instead of romanticizing the past.
If you live in Acton and are looking for recovery support, we can help. At East Coast Recovery, our goal is a collaborative approach that empowers clients to make decisions they can apply to their personal lives each time they leave our facility. With day treatment programs, clients avoid feelings of isolation, working with a team through things like individual, group, and family therapy to get the help they need.Â
