Oxycodone Rehab in Massachusetts

In 2022, opioid related overdose deaths increased by almost three percent compared to the previous year, reaching historically high levels among black, non-hispanic residents. Throughout the state of Massachusetts rates of opioid use disorder and opioid overdose deaths can be tied to things like prescription medications including oxycodone.

At East Coast Recovery, our oxycodone rehab center offers opioid treatment in Massachusetts.

People participate in group therapy at a drug rehab center.

Getting Treatment with MAT

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is likely the first step for anyone with an addiction to oxycodone. This is designed for those with opioid addiction including prescription painkillers and it is the most effective and safest way to treat addiction to opioids.

With our medication assisted treatment program, we focus on a whole person approach to recovery and that starts with MAT as part of an oxycodone rehab program, using things like naloxone, methadone, or buprenorphine to treat cravings and reduce withdrawal symptoms.

Medication assisted treatment is an ideal way to manage the initial stages of withdrawal and ongoing cravings but it doesn’t represent every aspect of care. Oxycodone rehab also includes behavioral therapy where you can learn to identify habits in your addiction cycle, break them, participate in things like group therapy sessions, family therapy, and 12-step programs.

Our Oxycodone Rehab Levels of Care

Research indicates that there are several levels of care available for oxycodone addiction treatment, and one is not necessarily better than the other.

What matters most is that you find a level of care suitable to your circumstances and your needs, something that will give you the help you need and something that you are more likely to remain committed to.

If, for example, attending a residential inpatient program where you have to reside full-time at the facility is not something that you can reasonably handle because of other obligations, then chances are you would be less likely to complete that level of care even if it were offered to you. So, instead, it’s important that you find a level of care you can complete.

Day Treatment

At East Coast Recovery our most intensive level of care is called our day treatment. This is a form of care that provides full-time support to those with moderate to severe oxycodone addiction.

With this oxycodone rehab program individuals will participate in individual and group therapies as well as trauma-informed care and family therapy where necessary.

If oxycodone addiction is tied to an underlying mental health condition like PTSD or depression, our dual diagnosis treatment can help tackle both of these at the same time.

The biggest benefit to participation in our day treatment program is that you spend the majority of your weekends and evenings at home with your loved ones and just spend the weekdays with us.

Partial Day Treatment

The next level of care is our partial day program. This is similar to our day treatment where you participate in the same type of recovery programs including individual and group therapy, family therapy, trauma-informed care, or dual diagnosis programs.

One of the key differences is the amount of time you spend with us. Instead of spending most of your weekdays with us on a full-time basis, our partial day program only requires around 10 hours of therapy and support service attendance.

This level of care is ideal for someone with severe time constraints who can’t attend a full-time daily oxycodone rehab program but can still fit a part-time rehab program into their schedule. It is also suitable for someone who has completed a recent detox and inpatient program and wants to step down to another level of care.

FAQs

How Much Does Oxycodone Rehab Cost?

Costs are based on your treatment program but our facilities work hard to provide payment plans and insurance opportunities that make treatment accessible no matter your budget. When you call our team we can help verify your insurance benefits during your initial consultation or you can contact your insurance company directly.

Is Rehab Required for Opioids?

Anyone who struggles with an opioid addiction will benefit from rehab. Oxycodone might have been prescribed for a legitimate purpose but if you have developed an addiction, our medication assisted treatment and evidence-based therapies will help you eliminate that dependency and learn fundamental skills for avoiding triggers and living a sober lifestyle.

How Long is Oxycodone Rehab?

When you reach out to our team we will start an initial assessment to help determine what length of treatment is best for you. Most people spend an average of 30 to 90 days in rehab but after that you’ll still likely participate in a variety of resources and community programs that can help you reduce your risk like our aftercare program, 12-step meetings, and sober living homes.

Is 30 Day Treatment Enough for Addiction?

Our 30-day Outpatient Treatment programs are a great place to start. You may not know how long your treatment program should be until you get started but this is a good amount of time to help deal with physical withdrawal symptoms and establish strategies that help you prevent relapse.

If you so choose, you can extend your stay to a 60-day program where you’ll start to develop healthy habits to maintain sobriety while also addressing any behavioral or situational issues that might have contributed to your addiction. If you opt for a 90-day program, you’ll have the highest probability of abstinence, building the same tools as the 30 and 60 day programs but working on identifying potential triggers and overcoming them.
