Inhalant Addiction Treatment in Massachusetts

When you visit the doctor for acute or chronic pain, like an injury or surgery, you will likely be prescribed painkillers. Painkillers come in several forms, like over-the-counter acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or aspirin. These help to reduce moderate pain or fever, or keep inflammation low.

But then there are stronger painkillers for moderate to severe pain. These include opioids like morphine, oxycodone, codeine, and fentanyl, which help with severe pain by acting on the nervous system and interfering with communication from pain signals in your brain.

In other cases, you might be prescribed a combination, with mild painkillers that have an enhanced effect using opioids like acetaminophen and codeine.

While these can treat various levels of pain, stronger painkillers, like opioids, have a high risk of misuse, dependence, and addiction. If you are struggling with addiction to painkillers, our painkiller addiction treatment program Massachusetts-based can provide relief today.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

For those who need a painkiller addiction treatment program, Massachusetts residents can turn to East Coast Recovery. We offer medication-assisted treatment for those struggling with addiction to opiate or opioid prescription medications.

These programs run between 30 and 90 days, Monday through Friday, mornings and evenings, and meet anywhere between 10:00 and 12 hours per week.

These programs utilize FDA-approved medication to offer treatment for certain prescription drug addictions. Those treatments start with medications to ease the discomfort of your withdrawal symptoms.

When your withdrawal symptoms are made more manageable, you are more likely to finish your detox and to move forward with the rest of your behavioral therapies.

The other aspect of medication-assisted treatment is just that, the behavioral therapies. Part of your program will include participation in one of our outpatient programs, either a day or partial day program, with access to a wide range of individual and group therapies like experiential therapy, trauma-informed care, and family programs.

Personalized Day Treatment or Partial Day Treatment

When you reach out to our team, you will receive personalized treatment. At East Coast Recovery, our goal is to ensure that all of our clients get the care they need.

Getting Started

This often starts with the admissions process, plain and simple. Many clients might struggle to figure out how they can afford to start a painkiller addiction program Massachusetts based, and not just the cost of the care itself but rather the cost of the time off from work especially for people who live in a dual income house or are the primary breadwinners.

When you call our team, we assign case managers to help you meet your needs, and that includes things like:

  • Applying for FMLA, a legally offered form of emergency time off from work, for which your employers cannot punish you
  • Applying for short-term disability or other benefits, things you can use to take time off where necessary to get the help you need

Once you know how you will manage the time off for your day or partial day program, then you need to find a personalized treatment plan.

Admissions Process

This all starts with our admissions process. We are there not only to help you apply benefits to the cost or the time required to get help with a painkiller addiction program, Massachusetts-based, but we also want each program to fit your needs so that it is as successful as possible.

To meet those needs, we have to get to know you.

Our admissions team will walk you through some questions, giving you a chance to better understand what it is you have struggled with in the past, what you are struggling with now, and how East Coast Recovery can help.

This includes an understanding of your physical and mental health, so that we can decide whether things like Nutrition Therapy will benefit you. It also includes an understanding of your family history and maybe a family history of mental health disorders, so that we can decide whether Family Programs will give you a chance to teach everyone more about addiction or underlying mental health disorders, and how to improve healthy communication.

Personalized Treatment

After that, you’ll start your program. Each of our programs is outpatient-based, and that means you get the chance to return home at the end of each day. The programs can vary in terms of length and duration, based on client needs.

Whatever you choose, you will have a scheduled day of individual and group therapy sessions, which might include things like group skill building, animal therapy, art therapy, and 12-step meetings. We offer trauma-informed therapy, experiential therapy, and a range of other supportive modalities that can be curated into your personalized treatment program.

Aftercare and Discharge Planning

As you get ready to leave, successfully completing your program, you still have work ahead of you. And that is where our case managers will continue to offer support. Each case manager applied to our clients is there to help with things like discharge planning and preparing our clients for what comes next.

This can include access to ongoing therapy, maybe in the form of a private individual therapist or local support groups in the area.
