While getting to our treatment center from Suffolk County can take an average of 1 hour, many clients choose our facility repeatedly over options that might be physically closer or a shorter Drive because we incorporate family into the recovery process, prioritize mental and physical health at the same time, and offer programs like trauma-informed care and a dual diagnosis program for co-occurring mental health disorders.
We know that many people struggle with co-occurring disorders, not just addiction. With underlying mental health disorders or unresolved trauma, treatment for addiction needs to involve therapy and support for co-occurring disorders, not just substance abuse.
We provide clients with dual diagnosis programs and a trauma-informed approach to help resolve related mental health disorders like depression, anxiety, or PTSD, as well as untreated trauma.
Centered on a holistic, trauma-informed approach, we set ourselves apart from other centers by offering long-term healing through adventure therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, and yoga.
At East Coast Recovery, we understand the importance of treating the mind and body as one. Many people struggle with a relapse because their treatment programs focused solely on the physical manifestations of addiction and withdrawal, but didn’t extend to things like mental health or underlying physical health. We provide education on things like nutrition and sleep, the role that both can play in overall health, and the damage that can be done to both through addiction.
We also know that clients need ongoing support when they prepare to leave our treatment center, and that includes information on local support groups or ongoing outpatient therapies, as well as a supportive network of sober individuals on whom clients can lean in times of need.
To support this, we prepare clients for the next stages as they complete their time with us and work to ensure they have the support structure they need moving forward.
Through a combination of evidence-based and holistic therapies, clients can come to our serene Massachusetts environment and find real-world support while building a sober support network through our community events, cookouts, and Friday night beach group sessions.
Those traveling from Suffolk County can get to our Cohasset location in around 45 minutes to 1 hour by care or regional rail. The best way to reach us by car is to take I-93 S, continue on MA-3 S, then take Exit 36 for Derby St.
Using public transportation, the MBTA Greenbush line provides direct service from South Station in Boston to Cohasset Station, about 1.5 miles from us. Buses also provide service near our facility, with the MBTA Bus Route 220 serving the Hingham area, though walking or ridesharing is required for the final leg.
At East Coast Recovery, we know that not everyone is able to drive to and from our facility and in some cases, even public transit may be limited. That is why we provide dedicated pickup services for clients who need rides to their treatment, including transportation to and from different sessions.
When clients reach out to our team for treatment, they have the option of starting several levels of outpatient programs, including our full-day program, which is similar to a Day Treatment program, and our partial-day program, which is similar to an Partial Day program. We also offer traditional outpatient services that are designed for people who have already completed a higher level of care.
If you’re looking for drug rehab in Suffolk County, these programs offer a readily accessible option within an hour, with flexible scheduling.
The table below shows a side-by-side comparison of the Full Day vs Partial Day programs we offer at East Coast Recovery:
Feature | Full Day | Partial Day |
Intensity | 5 days per week | 3-5 days per week |
Hours per day | Around 6 per day | Around 3 per day |
Focus | Stabilization, acute symptom management | Reintegration and coping skill practice |
Best for | Someone who has just completed a detox/residential program or someone who had a relapse | Someone who is transitioning from a PHP or residential program |
Our full-day program functions both as a starting point for people with mild to moderate addiction or as a next step, also called next level down, for those who have just finished a full-time residential program.
At this stage, clients might start with our medication-assisted treatment, but don’t necessarily need 24-hour supervision. Our program schedule typically runs from morning until late afternoon every day of the week, with a combination of individual and group therapy sessions, holistic sessions, family integration, and other dual diagnosis components, as needed.
Our partial-day program is the next level down. While some clients might start with this for mild addiction or a relapse, it is also ideal for those who have just completed our full-day program but still need additional support.
This level of care is designed to help our clients achieve reintegration. Whereas our full-day program focuses more on stabilization and building independence, our partial-day program allows for a more flexible schedule where clients can continue with personal or professional obligations and still focus on experiential modalities like adventure therapy, art therapy, and relapse prevention.
During the course of these programs, our clients are able to practice the psychological and physical coping tools they learn when faced with real-world stresses, continuing to build healthy coping mechanisms for post-recovery challenges.
