WellSense Health Plan is a nonprofit health insurer serving members across Massachusetts and New Hampshire through MassHealth, Medicare, and commercial insurance products. WellSense is committed to whole-person care, including behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment.
Under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA), WellSense plans are required to cover substance use disorder treatment at the same level as other medical conditions. As an in-network provider, East Coast Recovery Center works directly with WellSense to help members access care quickly and with as little friction as possible.

Our Day Treatment (AKA Partial Hospitalization Program or PHP) provides intensive, structured treatment five days per week for individuals who need a high level of clinical support without requiring inpatient care. PHP includes individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatric services, and medication management. It is well suited for those stepping down from a residential or inpatient level of care, or for individuals whose addiction and co-occurring mental health needs require more than standard outpatient treatment.
Our Partial Day Treatment (AKA Intensive Outpatient Program or Partial Day Treatment Program) offers flexible, structured addiction treatment for individuals who are managing work, family, or other daily responsibilities alongside their recovery. Clients attend multiple sessions per week and receive individual counseling, group therapy, relapse prevention education, and ongoing clinical support.
